A loan of $1,025 helped to buy groceries to increase the products she offers in her store.

Ada's story

Señora Ada belongs to the Communal Bank named "Santa Rosa de Lima", district of Juanjui, Mariscal Cáceres province, department of San Martin. She is married and 59 years old with 4 children, three of whom still depend on her for support.

She tells us that she started with the sale of cosmetics many years ago. Thanks to the profits she obtained she managed to start her own convenience store business in her own home, to which she has been dedicated for many years.

With the first loan that she received she was able to improve her store. Today her neighbors and friends know her well and she has much reknown. Her sales grow by word of mouth and she hopes to continue ahead and to prosper with other businesses.

With this loan of 3,000 soles she will buy groceries such as: bags of rice and sugar, packages of milk and oils; carbonated water in packages of different flavors and sizes and supplies for cleaning the home and personal hygiene. In this manner she will keep her happy and satisfied clients.

She feels very satisfied with the work that she does. She believes that it is worth the sacrifice to pursue her dreams and goals that she has planned for life. Thus she gives thanks the Manuela Ramos Movement for offering their support to her and to other women that want to do well.
