A loan of $500 helped to purchase more stationery and cartridges.

Agness's story

Agness is a twenty-four-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and child in the Muzarabani district in Zimbabwe. She runs her own business selling stationery, making photocopies, and creating certificates. Agness is now requesting a Kiva loan in order to purchase more stationery and cartridges to expand her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest in her business to become a leading supplier of stationery in her district and diversify her business by offering video and photography services. Agness will repay the "social interest" on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours weekly as a Camfed Learner Guide leading life-skills sessions covering active citizenship and personal confidence with students at her local secondary school.
