A loan helped to buy more rubber bowls, rubber kettles, kitchen utensils, rubber shoes and slippers.

Kadiatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone. This is 36-year-old Kadiatu from Goderich. She is married with five children between the ages of one and 20 years old. She also adopted two of her relatives. Five of her dependents are currently attending school. She started her business because she wanted to take care of her family.

Kadiatu runs a retail shop in a busy market place where she sells rubber bowls, rubber kettles, kitchen utensils, rubber shoes and slippers. She has been in this business for the past nine years now. She works eight hours per day and six days a week.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more rubber bowls, rubber kettles, kitchen utensils, rubber shoes and slippers for her business. Kadiatu says that the extra income from this loan will help take care of her family and educate her children.

In the future, she would like to see her business to grow. She thanks you for your support.
