Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $975 helped to buy a car for her husband, so that he can start working as a taxi driver and contribute to the budget of the family.

Zebokhon's story

Zebokhom is a 38-year-old resident of the city of Tursunzoda. She has two children. Although she does not have an education, she is a caring mom who manages to raise and look after her children well. She has also been involved in animal husbandry for 10 years, raising and reselling small livestock at home.

Zebokhon's husband is currently not employed, but he has a driver's license. Zebokhon has applied for a loan to help her husband buy a car and start working as a taxi driver. This loan will allow her husband to make some money, contribute to the family budget, and support his wife. However, Zebokhon cannot buy this car without your help. She is turning to you and hopes that you will be able to help her.
