A loan of $600 helped a member to pay for an ACE 1 clean cookstove, which saves money, time and people's health.

Itsokoleng Mphunyetsane Group's story

Malipolelo is a 57-year-old widowed mother of nine children. She lives in two separate huts with two other family members. She uses wood for making fires and uses paraffin and candles for lighting. She depends on grants and farming to earn a living.

Malipolelo and five other people from her village are going to benefit a lot from the ACE 1 clean cookstoves. The ACE 1 cookstove is going to be so essential to Malipolelo because it will solve all her cooking, lighting, and phone-charging problems, as it has an LED lamp and built-in mobile phone charging system.

She is going to spend less money on candles and paraffin. Malipolelo is also going to have more time for her family, as she will no longer have to walk long distances to fetch wood for making fires or pay for charging the mobile phones.
