Aissatou's Group's story

The "banc villageois" (village bank) that the Aissatou Badji group is part of was founded in June 2011. The group is made up of eight hardworking women who pay back their loans on time and work in trade.

Mrs. Anna, featured on the right and raising her arm in the photo, is the featured borrower. She is 35 years old, is married and has a daughter. She has been working for several years.

Anna will use the loan to buy children's clothing and fabrics in order to grow her business. She will use her earnings to help her husband provide for the family and to contribute to her savings.
