Sony Group's story

Sony, 29, is a resident in the Prey Veng province of Cambodia. She is married and has three children, aged 3 to 11 years. This family can earn around 9USD per day from working together in the farm; she and her husband have been growing rice, cassava, cashews, and other crops to support the family living for the past 11 years.

Sony is the women who stand the first of the right. She is a group leader and applies for the loan for the group of two members.

She will used her loan share to purchase compost and to pay for plowing expenses. She sees this purchase will allow her to cultivating rice in both the dry and rainy seasons and increase her crop yields as well.

With the profits from the season’s harvesting, she is going to expand her farmland, to build a new house, and support her children to collage.
