A loan of $1,025 helped buy jewelry.

Rosa's story

Rosa is 65 years old and lives with her 69-year-old husband. Their granddaughter also lives with them sometimes, since their daughter is independent. For the past two years, Rosa has been selling jewelry by catalog, thanks to her daughter, who introduced her to the business world and encouraged her. Her daughter used to sell catalog jewelry, but as time went by she found more stable work and passed her catalog jewelry business on to her mother. Rosa has fully taken over the business, now, and it is going very well. She is selling more and more merchandise thanks to her cordiality, friendliness, and persuasiveness. The jewelry she sells is of guaranteed high quality and comes bathed in different karats of gold. Rosa really enjoys her work, since it keeps her busy and helps generate some extra income to add to to her husband's earnings. She hopes to increase her income very soon so that she can use the profits to start another business renting out rooms; she's currently fixing up a mini-apartment to rent out. This is her sixth loan from Microfinanzas Prisma, and she has always made all of her payments very punctually. With the requested loan, she plans to buy more jewelry to have in stock to offer to her clients.
