A loan of $550 helped to buy an embroidering machine.

Tiéblé's story

Mr. Tiéblé C., age 25, is unmarried and lives in his late father’s house in Bougouni (3rd administrative region of the Republic of Mali) in the Torakabougou district.

Not having attended school, he soon became interested in earning an income, notably in the trade of tailoring, which he learned from his father (when alive). With ten years of experience in this domain, Tiéblé has a good command of his trade. Today, he is in high demand and much appreciated in Bougouni by all walks of life constituting his customers.

In order to satisfy their continually growing needs, he decided to join the loan program of the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso and is now on his first individual loan. With this loan, he intends to buy an embroidering machine in Bamako.

He plans on realizing a monthly profit of 45,500 francs CFA that will enable him to improve his shop, to help with family expenses, and to buy a plot of land on which to reside.
