A loan of $3,650 helped a member to purchase chicks and some chicken feed.

Khadiatou's Group's story

This group was created in June 2012 at the inauguration of the 'banc villageois’. It is composed of energetic members with a lot of solidarity who maintain excellent relationships.

Youma, standing at the right of the photo with a hand raised, is the president. She is 39, married, and the mother of four children, including a girl.

With this loan received, she is buying 300 chicks and 20 sacks of chicken feed. She resells the chickens after 45 days at the town market. With the profits, she is bolstering her savings. She supports her husband in covering household expenses, and she is improving her business.
