A loan of $675 helped buy construction materials to add a second story to her home.

Mary's story

Mary is 70 years old. As a mother she has tried to strengthen herself in order to help her children in their various professions so that she won’t feel like a burden at home as her children live with their own families. Since she doesn’t have the strength needed to do her work with normalcy, she had the idea of renting some rooms as her house is very big. Living alone was something very sad and now she can share her home with her renters, who provide company for her. This is why Mary works to provide better living conditions for her renters, who are happy to live in her home as she treats them with much love and patience, and are timely with their rent payments. But now Mary needs an inversion of capital, as she is planning to build a second story to her home in order to house more people and support herself. This is her 14th loan with Micofinanzas PRISMA. These loans enable her to generate greater income and above all develop her abilities in the communal bank where the members have diverse jobs. With the 2000 soles she will buy construction materials she needs to build the second floor of her home.
