A loan of $200 helped to pay for farm labour and animal feed.

Dinah Jepkemboi's story

Dinah Jepkemboi is a 40-year-old mother of three, married to Mr Barmau. She operates a dairy business at Kapsoio farm, on the outskirts of Eldoret, a major agricultural town in Western Kenya. Dinah was introduced to KADET by a member of her current borrowers' group.

Dinah has been in agribusiness for the past nine years now. With the loan from KADET, she intends to pay casual labourers to prepare the planting holes for more passion fruits. In addition, she will procure more animal feed for her dairy cows.

In future she hopes to expand her dairy farming and passion fruits production, hoping this will result in improved revenues and thus enable her pay to educate her children at higher learning institutions.

The Kenya Agency for the Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET) is committed to economically empowering its clients by providing financial services to rural communities in order to relieve suffering and improve living conditions within those communities.
