Sourn U. is married and lives with two of her children. She works as a farmer in Kampong Cham province, typically making US$ 2 each day, and her family is supported by her two children who are currently working in a local garment factory.

Her husband (pictured) is engaged in the agriculture sector as a farmer. Besides working as a farmer, he also climbs palm trees to collect palm juice and sell it to his repeat customers. By doing these two jobs, he is able to make collectively an income of US$ 3 per day. U. wants to take a loan of US$ 800 to purchase fishing implements, and with remainder, she wants to improve her farming business by purchasing more fertilizer and seeds to produce more output for this rainy season.
