A loan helped to increase her stock of wood.

Ouffrance's story

Ouffrance is a 39-year-old widow who is mother to two children, the youngest of whom is six years old and the eldest 16; they both go to school. She is a trader in the town market and has been selling firewood herself there for the past two years. She handles her customers and suppliers perfectly, but she finds that she is constantly low on stock. This is because she is obliged to sell off all her existing stock before getting new supplies since she has very little capital. Thanks to this activity she is able to provide for her family's needs.

She is requesting this loan to increase her stock, and this will not only increase her turnover buy also her profit. She will reinvest part of her profit in her business in order to expand it, and the rest will enable her to improve her family's living conditions.
