A loan of $3,650 helped a member to increase the stock of second hand clothing for resale.

Aziza Group's story

Anjela, 38, is married with four children ages 24, 18, 9 and 6 years. She has been selling second hand clothes since 2000. She works daily from 8 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. She is able to earn a monthly profit of approximately $256.

This will be Anjela’s fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to increase the stock of her business, paid school fees, and has repaid the loans successfully. She hopes that the fourth loan will help to increase business.

Anjela will share this loan with her loan group, Azizi, which totals 15 members. The members of the group hold each other accountable in paying back their loans. In the picture, Anjela is the first person on the left.
