Khalida's story

Khalida is a women entrepreneur struggling to bring prosperity to her family. She is fifty-four years old and lives in a small house with seven family members. She is a skilled woman who has adopted clothes making to earn a livelihood. She has around twenty years of experience in clothes design and stitching.

She works at her home and provides tailoring services to the women of her community. Her stitching quality earned her fame within a few years of offering services. She is very eager and wants to promote her business over time.

At the moment she is lacking the financial means to purchase raw material including cloth, colourful threads, needles, buttons, and laces for making clothes. She has requested a loan from JWS Pakistan, field partner of Kiva, to finance the raw material for her business.
