Luis Alfonso's story

Luis is 50 years old and lives in a neighborhood of the city of Bogotá. He works in his ornamentation shop, which has been in operation since 1986. His idea for the business was born when he was working as an employee. He used that experience years later in starting his ornamentation business. Luis offers services for designing and making windows, protectors, window bars, locks, doors, gates, and also iron furnishings or structures for all price levels. For this reason, he needs a stock of products so that he’ll be sure to have them on hand when he needs them for a job.

He is currently requesting his first Kiva loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, and he plans to use it to buy iron, screws, hinges, and other items. Luis is very invested in his business, which is his source of income for his family, which is made up of his two children and his wife. He wants to provide them well being as the result of his work.
