Caroline's story

Caroline is a small holder farmer who is very passionate about farming. Caroline has been engaged in crops, dairy and poultry farming for not less than ten years. Her primary sources of income are Maize, milk and eggs. She lives in Litein area in Kenya.

She developed the urge for farming from her parents who were formerly maize farmers. She has done remarkable works through farming, taking her children to a local private school being the one she recognises most. Caroline values farming as her core economic activity.

Caroline has been using the same farm tools and equipment repeatedly for her ten years of farming, some of her tools are worn out and she needs a loan so that she can buy new tools and replace those that are worn out.

Caroline is confident that her work will be made easier and her output will consequently increase. She is therefore appealing for a loan from Juhudi Kilimo which has partnered with KIVA lenders, to lend her some money so that she can increase her profits and pay back her loan. She is thankful to all her lenders.
