A loan of $925 helped to buy organic fertilizer and to pay for weed removal on his coffee farm.

Nelson's story

Nelson, age 36, lives with his parents in the central village of Vista Alegre Zonanga in Jaén, Peru. He is a hardworking and responsible member who is taking care of his parents. Thanks to his coffee harvest, he is able to cover the household expenses since he is the only support that his parents have. They are not able to work because of their age and solely rely on Nelson. He works very hard so that his parents can have a better quality of life.

For these reasons, Nelson needs to invest in the purchase of compost and to pay to have his farm weeded so that he can obtain harvested coffee that is of good quality. This is Nelson’s first loan with Norandino and he is grateful for being trusted to complete his payments on time.
