A loan of $2,150 helped a member to buy grocery products.

Everything By God Group's story

Elizabeth is 32 years old. She is married and the mother of one child who is currently in school. She owns and operates a grocery shop where she sells items like sugar, vegetable oil, bottled water, skimmed powdered milk and biscuits in her neighborhood. She lives with the husband and her dear child.

With the loan, she wants to purchase more crates of assorted drinks, bags of sugar, cartons of vegetable oil, boxes of biscuits etc. to increase her inventory. She hopes to increase her savings to support her children in school. She believes that with her four years of experience, she can make good use of the loan.

She is the leader of a trust bank group called "Everything by God." She is the one squatting in the group photograph. Most of the members of this group are small traders, food vendors and/or farmers. In this group, members guarantee for one another as social collateral to access the loan and provide peer pressure to repay the loan.

In this group: Elizabeth, Naomi, Cecilia, Janet, Faustina, Vida
