A loan helped a member to purchase rams for resale.

Faso -Deme Group's story

Here are the members of the Faso-Deme group. Belco is the one holding the ram's horn - he is 37, married and the father of five children, two of whom attend school. His children are aged from 2 to 14, his wife is a stay-at-home mum.
Belco has reared sheep for more than ten years. However he is constantly dissatisfied with the profitability of his business. He is seeking help from the RMCR with the objective of growing his business.
Belco makes his purchases and sales in the local market. He can make a expected profit of 25,000 to 30,000 per head. Thanks to the profits from his sheep rearing business, he manages to meet his family's nutritional needs, healthcare costs, and the children's schooling costs.
Belco wants to have other, larger loans with a view to growing his business. He is generous, and has a good reputation in his village.
