A loan helped to buy manure and fertilizers for his coffee farm.

Francisco's story

Francisco is 62 years old, is married, has nine children, and lives in a small town in the municipality of Gracias Lempira with his wife and three of his children.

He has always worked in agriculture and sells basic grains. He has been growing coffee for approximately 28 years. He sells his coffee beans in the local market already pulped and washed.

He is asking for his fifth loan, this one of 25,000 Lempiras, to buy manure and fertilizers to tend to his coffee farm. He hopes this investment will provide him with a better crop and greater coffee production.

His plan is to keep up his trade in order to help his youngest children and improve his family’s quality of life.
