A loan helped to cover medical expenses and treatment.

Anonymous's story

This woman and her husband are a family of humble, responsible workers. Both of them work in agriculture growing tubers such as potatoes, papalisa (a tuber similar to potatoes) and oca (an Andean tuber vegetable).

The wife has a rare disease known as "Sindrome Neurologico (Neurologic Syndrome) and because of this disease she suffers sudden, fainting spells with no warning. As a result she fainted while she was making lunch in the morning and fell on the stove (a wood fired stove), lost consciousness and suffered third degree burns on her arm and left side of her face. She was alone that morning with no one to help her and was burned for more than 40 minutes before her husband helped her when he arrived. As a result they had medical expenses for her in hospital care and private doctors forcing them to borrow money from their closest family members to cover these expenses.

Her husband needs this loan to cover medical expenses and her treatment.
