A loan of $350 helped purchase tables & chairs.

Maximiliana's story

Maximiliana is a hardworking woman who is much beloved in her neighborhood. She is 35 years old and lives in a rented house with her 37 year old husband Marcial and their 4 children: Yara - 15, Pilar - 14, Fridman – 11, and Sulla – 9. She has fought hard to get ahead and improve their lives. Maximiliana manages one of the most popular restaurants in the community near the Rinconada Ananea Mine (in the Juliaca district). She offers an assorted menu of delicious foods, and her customers leave very happy and satisfied. What she enjoys most about her business is attending to her customers, whom she tries to respond to each one fairly quickly. In the 8 years she has been operating, she has learned to work under the pressure from her customers. This is the hardest part of her business, but she always tries to satisfy everyone who comes to her restaurant. In the future, she would like to provide a suitable environment where her customers feel more comfortable.

Maximiliana is on her seventh loan with MFP and knows she has to make her payments on time. Her communal bank is a very happy group and all the members get along with one another. With her loan of 1000 soles, she plans to purchase new tables and chairs so that her customers will be more comfortable.
