A loan of $200 helped purchase fabrics, thread and other materials.

Marlene's story

Marlene lives with her partner, who is a master builder and travels to different places for his job. She is 35 years old and has 4 school-aged children. For the past 4 years, she has been selling different types of clothing for children and adults, but primarily lingerie. She works out of her home, which is like a tiny retail shop. Marlene is happy that her customers are satisfied with her work and recommend her to other people. This helps increase her clientele. In the near future, Marlene would like to open a boutique that sells designer clothing.

This is Marlene’s 5th loan with MFP. She enjoys working with her communal bank because all the members understand one another and are very good friends. With the money she is requesting, she will purchase fabrics, thread and other materials to make high-quality clothing that she will sell herself.
