Margarita's story

Margarita is 35 years old. She lives with her husband, a master builder, and with her two school age children who support her in everything she does. People know her by "Magui". She has been selling soft drinks and beer for the past 10 years out of a space she has dedicated for the business in front of her house. Now that her children are older, they help her in the store when they are done with their school work. Magui is kind and attentive to her customers, but she is also very careful not to allow them to take advantage of her. She attributes the profitability of the business to the fact that the region where she lives is very hot and there is high demand throughout the day for the types of drinks she sells. She is also the only person in her area to sell these products. She has been granted 11 MFP loans and says that she enjoys working with the communal bank because everyone there meets their obligations. She will use the loan to increase her stock.
