A loan of $825 helped increase stock and buy furniture for her business.

Elevit's story

Elevit is 50 years old. She's been widowed for a year and lives with her two children and her mother. She's been selling beverages (soft drinks and beer) from her home for two years, and the business is going well because she's in a bustling area near a park used by a variety of athletes who always need a cold drink. Elevit likes her work a lot because she meets a lot of people and has interesting, engaging conversations. In addition, she uses her earnings to cover her family's expenses, and she's also saving up so she can have a grocery store in the near future. This is her third loan with MFP, and what she likes about working with her group is the level of trust and community among all the members. She will use the money requested to buy some chairs and tables to place outside her house for customers to use. She will also increase the number of drinks she sells.
