A loan of $1,100 helped purchase of "pagnes".

Ablavi's story

This lady is married and the mother of one child. She lives with her family in the Awatamé district, an outlying neighborhood of the city of Lomé. She learned to be a seamstress and opened her own workshop that she named « la main de Dieu » [God's hand].

Along with sewing, she also sells "pagnes" (brightly colored lengths of African print cloth). This business is going well for her, especially as she also sews outfits that she sells to her customers. She would like to expand her sales of "pagnes" and other fabrics, so she is asking WAGES for a loan to buy 30 "pagnes" of new sorts.
