A loan helped to buy one more cow for her farm and also fodder for all her farm cattle.

Ani's story

Ani sends her great thanks for her first Kiva loan that supported her in her farm work. Ani lives in Ddmashen, a village in the Gegharkunik region, with three children. Her husband is in the Russian Federation, working abroad.

Ani manages all of the farm work and cattle care alone. She has cows, bulls, pigs, sheep and chickens. As a result of long hours of hard work in her farm, she sells an assortment of farm products like milk, macun (national dairy product), meat and eggs. Ani is already a master in agricultural activities. She cultivates potatoes and greens, which she sells right from her house to re-sellers.

This time, she is asking for a loan of 700,000 Armenian drams (AMD) as she wants to buy one more cow for her farm and also fodder for all her farm cattle.

This loan is special because:

It reaches rural populations with less access to opportunity.
