Chourb S., 33, has been involved in a business producing raw materials for making Cambodian traditional mats since 1990, and she typically earns around US $3 per day. The Cambodian method of producing these tools requires hard work and a long time to produce the best outputs for a competitive price at the markets.
S. is married and lives with her husband who has been a motorbike retailer since 1990 with a typical income of US $5 per day. S. wants to take a loan of US $500 from Kiva partner CREDIT, to purchase a motorbike for her brother to operate a business as a motor-taxi driver. This is the first time S. has obtained a loan from CREDIT.
