Siyan's story

Siyan is a 50-year-old housewife who lives in the Kampong Chhnang province of Cambodia. She is married and has five children, aged 12 to 22 years. Her family income is provided by her husband who is a motor taxi driver. He has been working in this field for the past 3 years typically makes around 7USD per day.

Because the motorcycle is too old, she is now asking for a loan to purchase a new motorcycle for her husband. She believes this purchase will allow her to save money from fixing costs and increase her family profits.

In the future, she is going to saving money to purchase one hectare of farmland for cultivating rice, to renovate her house, and support her children to get to collage.
