A loan helped to buy colored fabrics and dacron for the sewing workshop.

Dina Niombonana's story

Dina is 35 years old, married and has two children, both enrolled in school. The income earned from her business has allowed her to pay for her children's education-related expenses. Dina has had a small sewing shop since 2003. Before, she was working with her in-laws selling sewing supplies. She has a sales point at one of the markets in the capital. The profitability of this business depends on the number of garments made, so an adequate fabric inventory is needed for steady production. Dina will use the loan to buy raw materials (fabrics). She also takes custom orders. She expects to start a small company in this field and produce for export.
