Celia Victoria's story

Celia belongs to the “Las Totoritas” Community Bank, which is located in the Chimu community in the Puno district, in the Puno province, in the department of Puno. She is 32 years old, married, and the mother of 1 son. She has completed high school and she lives in the Chimu Sector Progreso community.

She has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for almost 7 years. Her first loan was for 300.00 PEN, which she used to make “quesanas” (a type of rush mat).

Now she requires a loan of 2000.00 PEN for the purchase of quesana and chillihua material. With these, Celia will make her reed handicrafts and quesanas, which she brings to different markets in the region.

Her wish to set up an auto parts shop in Puno.
