A loan of $475 helped to buy more stock of smoked and dried fish.

Gertrude's story

Gertrude is 38 years old and is a divorced mother of six children. Currently all her children attend school. She sells smoked fish and started her fish selling business 20 years ago at the community market where she lives. She buys her stock of fish from Yeji in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana and sells them from a table stand and sometimes through hawking. She prepares and serves her customers with a very tasty and good quality fish and because of that many customers buy from her stand. She has a high customer base. Many travel from other parts and from the surrounding communities to buy her fish. She requests the loan to increase and upgrade her stock of fish. She hopes to provide her children with a quality education through the proceeds of the business. She would be grateful for your support.
