Akossiwa's story

Born in 1975, Ms. Akossiwa E. is married to a farmer, with whom she had five children. She does commerce in grains, such as corn, millet, and sorghum. She usually goes from village to village in the area to buy goods from rural producers. And she stores them in order to resell them retail when market prices skyrocket. At the approach of the major harvests, she is requesting a loan that will allow her to build up a stock of grains. This is how she is going to increase her commercial revenues.
