A loan of $300 helped purchasing leather, shoe soles, and nylon.

Francisco Jose's story

Francisco José L. is 36 years old, and lives in the Pantasma neighborhood near the commercial center of the capital, Managua. His wife helps him with his shoemaking business. They have three children, all of them in primary school. Francisco has been in the shoemaking business for 15 years, and in that time has provided thousands of Nicaraguans with shoes. He learned how to make shoes as a boy growing up in Camuapa, Nicaragua. He would like to use this loan to purchase inventory such as leather, shoe soles, nylon, glue, and other supplies for shoemaking. Francisco is grateful to the lending institution for helping him to produce more shoes so he can improve his sales.
