Salamatu's story

Greetings from Waterloo, a community near a small and busy rural area in Sierra Leone.

This is 40 year old Salamatu, a married mother and business woman. Her husband is a farmer. Salamatu has 2 children. One of her children is currently going to school. She began this business to help her husband to support the home and to change her status of living.

Salamatu runs a clothing business; she sells ready clothes and head-ties for resale. Salamatu has been a trader all her life. Salamatu desires to empower her life. Salamatu wants to use this loan to buy more ready-made clothing for resale. Salamatu would like to open a big shop. She really wants to improve her life and is grateful to BRAC Sierra Leone and the Kiva community for their financial support.
