A loan of $850 helped for the purchase of quesanas and chillihua (material to make handicrafts).

Maria Francisca's story

Maria belongs to the “Las Totoritas” Community Bank, located in the Chimu community in the Puno district of the Puno province in the department of Puno. She is 50 years old, married, and is the mother of 3 children. She completed her primary school studies and lives in the community of Chimu.

She has been working with the Manuela Ramos Movement for the past 7 years. Her first loan was for 300.00 PEN, which she used to make handicrafts from reeds (a plant in the area).

Now she requires a loan of 2500.00 PEN for the purchase of quesana and chillihua material, with which she makes quesanas to sell and reed handicrafts.

Her wish is to continue working because her business has a very good market.

She likes the savings and the meetings.
