Sarah's story

Greetings from Kissy by pass, a community near the small and busy eastern area in Freetown.

This is 40 years old Sarah a married mother and business woman. Sarah has three children. Her children are currently going to school.

Sarah sells retails business, perfume, suitcases and electronic appliance a busy road where many people stop to take transport to other towns and cities. Seemingly distinct businesses are often mixed in Sierra Leone, the idea being that a customer will come to purchase one thing but will leave having purchased another. Sarah has been a trader for 3 years now. Sarah is desire to empower her life. Sarah works 6 days a week and 8 hours per day. This is her only source of income she has, and is proud of her young business. She likes the fact that she continues to have new customers and has kept the old ones.

Sarah wants to use this loan to buy perfume, suitcases and electronic appliance sell to her customers. Sarah would like to open a big shop. She really wants to improve her life and is grateful to BRAC Sierra Leone and the Kiva community for their financial support.
