A 53 year old woman named Thaung (1st from the right in the picture) is the featured borrower who is one of the loan clients of Sin Kyoe (Ywar Ma)-1 (B) Village Group, in Pakokku Township, Myanmar. She lives with her beloved 6 family members. Thaung’s family are farmers and they also have a roasting sesame business. Besides these businesses, they also sell paddy rice and oil at home to earn extra income.

Thaung is going to use her loan portion for purchase additional crop seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. In this way, with her effort and the help of the loan, she hopes she is able to achieve her aim of being able to open a home-based grocery shop.
