A loan helped to buy new printing dyes, molds and other materials for printing on fabric.

Shakila's story

Shakila is 39 years old. She is married and lives in Gujranwala, Pakistan with her husband and 4 children.

She started her manual cloth printing business last year, and until now she continues to operate it. She is skillful in the art of printing various colorful designs on fabric per customer demand.

She has been able to support her family from this business and pay her children's school fees. One challenge she often faces is the lack of material (inventory) to meet her sale orders.

With this loan, she will buy new printing dyes, molds and materials to complete her orders on time and position her business to offer better services. She also plans to expand her business in the nearby markets as well, to earn better profits.

She is very thankful to Kiva and to JWS Pakistan for their help.
