A loan of $350 helped buy furniture for her restaurant.

Margarita's story

Margarita, 49, is a very loving and hard working mother. She lives in her own house with her three children; Ruth is 15, Tony is 14, and Juan is 10. They are the motivation for all of her efforts. She wishes to give them a good high school education.

What Margarita’s restaurant lacks the least is customers, given that it is located near the terminal to the urban transportation line N° 15. Her primary customers are the drivers and the collectors who, after a long morning of work, do not hesitate to enjoy the delicious dishes that she prepares. Margarita’s prices are very reasonable, and they are the primary attraction to her restaurant. What she likes most about her work is cooking and seeing how the people praise her good seasoning. She has been doing this for seven years. The most difficult part is waiting on customers and keeping them satisfied.

In the future, Margarita hopes to make her restaurant one of the most well known in the city of Juliaca. She knows that she must work very hard to achieve her goals, and she is prepared to do so.

This is her fifth loan with MFP. Just as she did with her first loans, she will make all of her payments on time. She is well liked and respected in her community bank for the responsibility that she demonstrates.

She will use the 1,000 PEN that she is asking for to buy more chairs and tables to improve customer service in her restaurant.
