Miraga A. is married. His wife is a homemaker and they have two children.

He has always been a hard worker. He started working at an early age, helping his uncle with his clothing business, and contributing his earnings to them from the time that he was 35 years old. When Miraga married, his expenses increased and he had to strike out on his own to build a business that would support his own family. With the help of his savings, he started his own clothing business, and his wife helped him in her spare time. His business has grown little by little, but he wants to continue to grow in order to achieve a better quality of life.

Miraga is asking for a $2000 loan to buy merchandise for his business so that he can continue to expand. He and his family are very grateful for the support you are providing to help them get ahead.

About Aqroinvest:

Aqroinvest Credit Union was founded in 2001 by a group of 32 farmers from Imishli. It has since grown to become the largest credit union in Azerbaijan, owned by its more than 5,400 borrowers and boasting a portfolio of nearly US$12 million.
AqroInvest is focused on providing loans to the following groups of people: rural farmers, people living in distant southern villages with little or no access to finance and internally displaced people and refugees, many of whom lost their homes and livelihoods during the violent conflicts in the 1990s.

In May 2011, Aqroinvest started a new project with Kiva proving higher education loans to students. The project gives students the support and financing they need to continue their education and helps pay for tuition fees at various universities in Azerbaijan. Aqroinvest is the first credit union in the country to offer students loans.
