Angelica's story

Angélica belongs to the “Medalla Milagrosa” Community Bank in the district of Pomata, Chucuito province, Peru. She is 70 years old and has a primary school education. She was worked with Kiva partner Manuela Ramos for the past six years, and her first loan was for 300 soles, which she used to purchase grocery supplies. She is currently requesting a loan of 1000 soles to use for the purchase of rice, milk, oil, soft drinks, flour, salt, and other grocery items to stock her convenience store. Her wish is to keep on working. Angélica enjoys the savings, the chats (with other bank members) and the simplicity of the loans.
