A loan helped a member buy grains to resell.

Danayaton Group's story

Simion is the one holding the bag in front of him in the photo. He is 38 years old, married and the father of seven children, ages 2-14 years old, including four in school.

He lives with his wife and children in Mali. He has been storing grains for six years. After several years in this business, the revenues from selling grains cover the family's expenses and his children's school fees. Simion sells at the market in his area, and can earn 20,000 CFA francs in monthly income.

Simion belongs to the microfinance institution RMCR Mali to request a loan to improve his working conditions, and increase his revenue to pay for his children's school and health care expenses.

He dreams of being a large merchant and being useful in the community.
