Forkland Group's story

Hawa R., age 32, is married with two children aged 14 and 10 years. She has had a grocery business since 2008 and also sells food and chips in the same place. She works from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and is able to earn a monthly profit of around $190.

This will be Hawa’s first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She wants a loan to improve on the place where she does her business.

Hawa will share this loan with her group, Forkland, which totals 21 members. The members will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans. In the picture, Hawa is in the middle in a blue and white dress, front row.
