A loan of $300 helped to pay for farm inputs and hired labor in order to grow more crops on her farm.

Miriam's story

Dear Kiva community!

Meet Miriam, a tireless and determined woman who works day to day on her mixed farm. She started farming five years ago on a small farm she acquired. On the farm, she has dairy cows and a small garden.

Miriam is seeking a KES 30,000 loan, which she will use to pay for farm inputs and hired labor in order to grow more crops on the horticulture farm. It takes a lot for a small farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business.

With your help, Miriam will be able to settle the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profit will be plowed back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her children.

Support this super mother and loan now.

Miriam is really grateful for your help and hopes for the lenders' goodwill and understanding.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals and farming equipment.
