Grimanesa's story

Ms. Grimanesa is a member of Santa Ana Community Bank in the District of Moyobamba, Moyobamba Province, State of San Martin. She is single and has seven children, all of whom are on their own.

Ms. Grimanesa sells pork for a living. She has told us that she had to overcome many difficulties at the beginning and started her business gradually. Her business is now well established in the city's Central Market, in an area well equipped for her and her customers. She is very proud to have been able to get ahead with the support of the Manuela Ramos Movement, which helped her considerably to improve her services.

She currently operates the same business and has a loyal customer base. Her customers come to her stall at the market to buy meat on a daily basis, where she personally takes care of them with her usual charisma.

With this S/. 2,000.00 loan she will buy four eviscerated pigs. She will use a portion of the money to buy new knives and trays.

Ms. Grimanesa is very satisfied with her accomplishments and is eager to continue to get ahead as long as God gives her the ability to do so. She thanks the Manuela Ramos Movement for the help provided in establishing her business and those of other women in San Martin.
