A loan helped to purchase a palm kernel cracking machine, as she spends a lot annually renting a machine for this purpose.

Chinyere's story

Chinyere is 41 years old and a mother to six children, presently living with her husband at their family compound. Her husband is a bricklayer by trade.

Chinyere is very hard-working; annually she handles processing of palm oil for clients who do not have the time and skill to process palm oil. Most of her customers are teachers and rural health workers who also do palm oil storage businesses to increase their income.

With her first loan funded by Kiva lenders, Chinyere was able to purchase storage containers to keep her processed products and with this loan, she wants to purchase a palm kernel cracking machine, considering that she spends a lot annually renting a machine for this purpose and this affects her income. With this machine, she will be able to save more money to support her children's education.

Chinyere appreciates all Kiva lenders that support her loan.

This loan is special because:

It helps borrowers in rural Nigeria with cheaper, flexible loans.
