A loan helped to buy an industrial machine and materials so she can offer better products to her customers and have a better income for her family.

Macaria's story

Macaria is 31 years and has been with her common law husband, Fanor, for 8 years. The family lives in rural town in the department of Cochabamba.

This husband and wife are a humble family where Macaria works cutting and sewing traditional skirts and blouses that carry her certification from the Virgen del Rosario Professional Academy. They maintain themselves financially by relying solely on the income from her sewing as she lacks operating capital for her business. Her husband provides transportation services going back and forth on the Colomi-Cochabamba route. He is affiliated with the Transporte Mixto Colomi union where they replaced parts and had to spend a large part of their savings.

That is why Macaria needs a loan to improve her business. With operating capital she will buy an industrial machine and fabric to sew traditional skirts and blouses.
